REVIEW: Romancing My Love (Love in Bloom Book #19; Bradens Book #9) By, Melissa Foster

After months of caring for her terminally ill mother, Rebecca Rivera is left all alone in a world she doesn’t trust—but she’s determined not to let her mother’s death define her. Losing her job, having to pummel some jerk for being too handsy, and living in her car are just temporary setbacks to an otherwise solid plan in finding her footing. Full of pride and used to being in control of her life, she’s certain she can make it on her own. The last thing Rebecca needs is a man to fix her troubles—even if that man is strikingly handsome, wealthy, and charismatic Pierce Braden.

Pierce is a powerful real estate investor on the verge of a major acquisition. As the eldest of six siblings raised by a single mother, he’s spent his life protecting those he loves. He’s used to being in charge and making things right, and although he’d give his life for his family, he treats the women he dates as expendable—until he meets sexy and stubborn Rebecca Rivera, a woman who is as strong as she is vulnerable.
Passion ignites between them, and the two share their most intimate thoughts and desires. It doesn’t take long for Pierce to realize that Rebecca is as determined not to be saved as he is to find a way into her heart. As their love grows, Rebecca must face fears she didn’t even realize she had—and Pierce must learn the hard truth that sometimes less really is more. Is the power of true love enough for Rebecca and Pierce to learn to give up control and allow their hearts to take over?

This was another great book by Melissa Foster. Her Love in Bloom series is always one of my favorites. I don’t think that I have read one of her books that I haven’t absolutely fallen in love with. This book was no different. Melissa writes about a different family member in every book. The way she writes and the stories she tells makes every person and story different. There is no repeats which keeps the stories entertaining.

Pierce is one amazing Braden boy. He helps bring out the women that Rebecca was afraid to be. He is swoon-worthy and amazingly sweet. He loves his family and when Rebecca makes it into the small circle that he has set aside for them he treats her with as much love as he would any member of his family. This relationship is one of the first things that did not fall into Pierce’s lap. He had to really work for her. The only problem was that he didn’t know how to get her.

Rebecca was an amazing character. She spent three years giving up everything to take care of her sick mom only to lose her in the end. She doesn’t resent that time with her mom. She doesn’t wallow in self-pity. She is always trying to make her situation better and find a way to fix it. Rebecca learns that letting love in is not the end of the world. She learns to be vulnerable and softer with Pierce. He lets her feel safe enough to be that person.

This was another great love story by Melissa. Her characters grow into stronger and better people. Her couples always grow together as a team as well as individual people. I loved the very first scene in this book and continued to enjoy it all the way until the end. Definitely go pick up this next installment in the hot Braden Boys!
