REVIEW: Touch and Go (Dare to Love #2) By, Mira Lyn Kelly

USA Today bestselling author Mira Lyn Kelly cranks up the heat for two lifelong friends whose most secret longings come true in every delectable way.

Vivacious and successful, Ava Meyers is living her dream life, except for one thing: Ever since childhood, she’s been in love with her best friend . . . and she’s never admitted it. Back then, Sam Farrow was a damaged young man with a tough past. Now he’s supremely confident, super-sexy, and totally untouchable—until the night when Sam pretends to be Ava’s boyfriend to save her from some unwanted attention. In a moment of weakness, Ava finds out that a long friendship is no match for blistering sexual chemistry.

After years of denying his own feelings, Sam finds that one amazing night with Ava isn’t enough to chase away all the pent-up fantasies. So he proposes they spend a few weeks driving each other wild, exhausting their every desire, and then return to their perfect platonic relationship like nothing ever happened. But Sam’s plan has one fatal flaw: the part where they give each other up. Because the more they let go of their inhibitions, the more they’re tempted to never go back.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

Review

Sam and Ava have been friends for what feels like forever. They have a deep bond that has lasted through time and everything the two of them have been through. Ava and Sam have always been naturally drawn together, living in the same building, it seems natural to them. They have always done everything a normal in love couple would do, they cook meals for each other, cuddle, and hold hands. They have always made sure not to cross the one line that would ruin everything.

"Jesus Ava, that blush is going to be the end of me. I shouldn't be able to make you do it. I shouldn't know I can."

Ava needs a date to a party where her stalker just wont take a hit. She invites Sam to play her boyfriend so she gets left alone. Then there was a kiss. A kiss that both of them knew never should have happened. A kiss that makes both of them cross lines they said they would never cross.

"What do you say, Ave," he asked, searching her eyes. "Feel like making a really bad decision with me?"

Touch and Go is a best friends to best friends with benefits to lovers story. Both Ava and Sam have the relationship part down now they have to add sex and love. Ava was smart and funny. She had always had the crush but she kept it hidden. In the end she was strong and didn’t settle which made me like her more. Although the way she handled the who thing was immature. I was commending her on at least realizing she deserved better. Sam was a great character too. He had a tough childhood and ended up making his life better eventually. Sam was pretty blind the whole time but you know the men usually are.

"Our mutual problem isn't that we gave in to a night between us, but after twenty years of close proximity, we thought a single night would be enough."

Overall the storyline might not have been original but it was worth the read. It was cute, fun, funny, and sexy. There was some drama but it all worked out in the end. The end was actually pretty great. I would recommend this if you are looking for a light friends to lovers story.
