Review

This book was full of mystery, deception, lies, and heat. If you have not read the prequel I would recommend that you do even though I didn’t. I am guessing it answers some questions but this novel stood up on its own. This book was smart, funny, and definitely sexy. The intrigue and mystery of this book definitely made it a book that kept me hooked even if I had a few problems with it.

Forensic Photographer and the sister of the deceased, Jessica, has to make a journey that she never envisioned for herself. To catch the person responsible for her sister’s murder she has to experience the darker harsher side of sex. While living in her sister’s house she keeps finding confusing and contradiction information about the sister she is learning she never really knew. Add to that the return of her childhood crush, Sam, the local police detective on her sister’s case. There are so many twists and turns in this book you never really know what is going on. Jessica has no idea who she can really trust and neither do you, as the reader.

While the synopsis and the cover alone made me pick this book up I had some problems with it. There were many questions in this book that are never really answered. I am not a person that hates cliffhangers. If they are done right I like the angst of wondering what’s going to happen. This book wasn’t one of them. The ending was abrupt and kind of confusing. The ending leaves you with more questions than it answers.

This is definitely a fast paced and sizzling book. If you don’t mind cliffhangers it is definitely a book that should be picked up.
