For two stubborn people…

Corporate mogul Shane Donovan sees the ultra-cool, collected Cecilia Riley as an ice queen—even if he can’t deny that, on the surface, she’s a work of perfection his body can’t ignore. Forced to spend two weeks in the same house for his sister’s upcoming wedding, Shane senses that deep down Cecilia mirrors his need. And he’s determined to draw her into a sexy game that will melt away her reserve...

Losing is not an option…

Career-driven Cecilia Riley has just enough free time in her schedule to head out of town for her brother’s wedding. But her agenda is thrown for a loop by the presence of Shane. Though his over-confident attitude leaves a lot to be desired, his insanely hot body has kept Cecilia up nights. Unsure what game Shane is playing, Cecilia takes the bait, bent on resisting him at all costs.

This couple met in a previous book that I have not read but I loved them in this book. The chemistry was immediate and very apparent. Even though they have hated each other from the first time they met there was definitely more there.

Cece is a very complicated character. She is fiercely guarded and doesn’t let many people in. She has worked since she was a child to achieve her dreams. Her character is strong, smart, and really independent. She puts off an ice-queen exterior to keep people away. Deep down she is a woman that wants someone to love her. Even though she doesn’t think she deserves it she wants someone to look past her barriers and see her for who she is.

Shane is the caretaker for his family. He feels the need to make sure that he is always working so that he has the many to take care of them. Shane tends to be bossy all of the time and on top of that he is thinks he’s always right. There is no arguing with this workaholic. Shane is a great character. He is a really nice man who has so many responsibilities. He is a family man and I loved him.

Shane and Cece were great together. From the first scene to the last I loved their chemistry. Everything about them was opposite but there were also things about them that were the exact same. They both were strong-willed, independent, and completely stubborn. Their relationship was funny, exciting, emotional, and passionate. When Shane and Cece see past the exteriors they are trying to put off neither of them can walk away and the magic starts.

This was a great book that was filled with great characters both main and secondary. I can’t wait to read about the next couple in this series. I would definitely recommend this book to people who like the opposites attract romances.
