**This
can be read as a STANDALONE. The second book in the Lost series tells Jessica
and Parker's story.**
All Jessica wants -as a college graduate — is to be a good girl. She landed the job of her dreams at a museum and is trying to eliminate temptations. No more short skirts (when she can help it). No wild parties. And no men.
She particularly excels at that last thing. . .
Until her path crosses Parker’s. Again. Jessica remembers the last time their paths crossed very well. She was left with a seriously bruised ego. She knows it would be best to avoid him altogether. But the charming Brit makes it hard for her to elude his electrifying pull. He is as irresistible as he is captivating.
And enigmatic.
Because underneath the sleek Armani suit and the sweet British accent that makes her crave his touch, Parker isn’t the perfect gentleman everyone thinks he is.
He’s exactly what Jessica doesn’t want, but desperately needs.
A bad, bad boy.

I
have not read the first book in the Lost series. After reading this book I kind
of wish that I had. Jessica and Parker’s story starts out in the first book.
Granted you really don’t need the back story because the author goes over in this
book, but I still wish I could have read about it firsthand. Other than that I
thought the book was pretty enjoyable.
Jessica
is a character that is trying to reinvent herself. She is a person that loves
to live life. She does whatever she wants when she wants to. Whether it is
dangerous or not. She finally decides to try and get her life together in
London. She really is a character that she be envied. Jessica knows how to
enjoy everything that life throws at her and throughout the book she learns how
to balance that with Parker. Throughout the book Jessica learns that HEAs do
happen. She learns to believe in love again as well as relearning how to trust
people again.
Parker
is a business man that has had more people teach him that no one can be trusted
then people who have stood by him. No all he wants in life is women that he can
pay to have sex and leave and a life that he can control to the very last
detail. When Jessica walks, or dances I should say, into his life he learns
that there is some chaos worth living with. Parker is a character that has had
more people leave him than stick around. He doesn’t want to invite the chaos
that Jessica would bring into his life but he can’t seem to stay away. Parker
was a great guy but he just never believed that he was one.
The
writing was good. The flow was nice and it was a pretty quick read. There were intimate
scene that were pretty steamy. Jessica is someone who knows what she likes in
bed and Parker is the kind of guy that is willing to give it to her. Which
leads to some pretty hot and sexy scenes.
Sometimes
you need to live a little. Sometimes you need to have some control and this
book shows you how two people find that balance with each other. I really want
to read about Dani and her Tattooed friend which will be the next one. Can’t
wait!
