REVIEW: Thane's Redemption (The Song #1) By, Nina Crespo

The one night she'll want to remember, she'll be forced to forget.

It's been almost a year since Celine's fiancĂ©'s death and she's still struggling to move on. But when she meets Thane, the super hot lead singer of Thane’s Redemption, she finds her desire reawakening, and her heart opening. Soon one kiss leads them straight into a night of heated passion…

Thane’s unexpected connection with Celine only leaves him wanting more of her—but his life makes it impossible. For Thane's Redemption is just a cover for a deeper secret: A former Army Ranger presumed dead, Thane is really a time-traveling, covert operative charged with saving the world from disaster. Each jump through time forces those around him to forget he ever existed—and Celine would be no exception. But can time work in their favor to give them a second chance at love? Or will a choice Thane makes in the future put Celine in mortal danger?

Review
I read this synopsis and knew immediately that I had to read this book. I mean who doesn’t want to read about a hot rock star/time-traveling/solider. I mean it has all the hot guy traits that you would want in a book. This story was well written with an interesting storyline. The characters were likeable and relatable. Nina Crespo’s writing style was amazing. She took an interesting plot and made the story one I couldn’t put down.

This plot line was definitely different. We have Celine who is strongly to move on after she lost her husband. Her husband died in Afghanistan. The story opens up a year after his death to find her still struggling to move on and she is definitely anti-man. Until she meets Thane. Thane is a rock star. The problem is the band is a cover up for his other life. He is also a time-traveling secret agent. After one night with Celine he doesn’t want to have to give her up but he made the choice to save the world and now he isn’t sure if he made the right decision.

There was something definitely different about these characters and story line. I had some problems that it was a novella. I think there was too much packed into this story. There was a lot of information and a lot of things happen in this short book. Questions that were not flushed out and answered in this installment. The next installment doesn’t have a release date yet so everything seems to be really up in the air. I wish this had been one full length novel. It would have been a lot better I think.
