Review

Falling for Bentley-
Bentley was the football legend in his high school. He left thinking he was going to make it to the NFL and he almost did. When his father gets hurt Bentley makes the decision to come home and help on the family ranch. Now working on the ranch and coaching high school football he doesn’t know if he’s happy. Then he meets Haley. Bentley was a charming character that his own problems to work through. I loved his banter with Haley.

Haley has come back to watch over her grandparents ranch while they take some time to travel. She has always loved it there and now she can’t imagine leaving. Her grandparents hired the school football team to do the real heavy lifting, but when she realizes who the coach is she wished they had left her to do it alone. I loved Haley’s character. She was strong and put Bentley in his place after what he did to her in high school.  She was fun but guarded.

I loved the characters as well as the side character. Both of them have to work through problems of their own.

Catching Haley-
I had some big problems with Catching Haley. We were left with a cliffhanger that left you not really loving Bentley. The book starts off a few week after the end of the second book. I was really impressed that the author really made Bentley grovel to get Haley back. I could understand why he ran but not the way he did it. Haley’s character is where it bothered me a little. While she grew up, I felt she was a little more immature in this book. She kind of felt like a whole new character. At one point after all Bentley did I was frustrated that she hadn’t taken him back yet. There is only so much groveling one person should have to do if you love them. The push and pull of the relationship was a little over done.
While I had problems I also really liked this one. We got to see both Bentley and Haley become stronger as individuals and as a couple. Both of them get to find themselves and what they really want out of life. We get to see more of the side characters as well and I loved her family.

Haley and Bentley-

I always love a wedding epilogue. This is one that I didn’t need though. While I enjoyed everything it felt like it dragged. We didn’t really get anything new other than seeing them get married. It made me sad that it took them so long to get married but I am glad we got an HEA!
