REVIEW: Love So Hot (Lawsons #1) By, Marquita Valentine

Bank Teller and all around good girl, Sydney McKnight, is tired of being the girl all the guys want to have as a friend. Who better to help unleash her inner vixen than her best friend and secret crush, Brody Lawson? Only, Sydney has no idea how to ask him, without their friendship going up in flames, until that is, the town of Jessamine's annual Firemen's Auction gives her the perfect excuse to set her plan into motion.

Fire Captain Brody Lawson has been in love with his best friend, Sydney, for years, but he would never risk their friendship by confessing his feelings to her. So, when Sydney beats out the competition to buy his time at the annual Firemen's Auction, Brody can hardly believe his luck until she asks him to teach her how to seduce a fellow fireman.

Now, it’s up to Brody to show Sydney how perfect she already is and convince her that the only man for her is him, because if Sydney is going to seduce any man, it’s going to be him. And once he has her in his bed, he’s not letting her go.

Review
There is only one other story line that I love just as much as falling in love with your brother’s best friend and that’s falling in love with your best friend. I was so excited to start this book. It was everything I wanted it to be. This book was sweet, sexy, frustrating, and left a smile on my face when it was over. I loved every minute of this book.

Sydney has always been the good girl. She does what is expected of her especially when it comes to Brody. She does what is expected of a best friend all while keeping her love for him a secret. When outside friends come to her and give her a plan to put into motion to get the one man she always wanted she can’t resist. Now she just needs the nerves to back her up and the hope that he can one day feel the same.

Brody has always been Sydney’s protector. Keeping all of the men that are not good enough for her away. The problem, he is doing it for somewhat selfish reasons. He has been in love with Sydney for years but he can’t tell his best friend that. When Sydney starts to show genuine interest in a fellow fireman he agrees to help her seduce him. Now Brody needs to convince her all the training needs to be directed at him.

This was a great read. I love both Brody and Sydney. The frustration that comes with all of the misunderstandings and the one step forward only to take two steps back was great in this book. Marquita Valentine created to characters that are so perfect for each other that everyone can see it but them. The side characters were great too. Everyone was in on this little scheme to get them together which made the book even better. My only complaint is that I wanted more. I didn’t want the book to be so short!

Will definitely be picking up more from the Lawson Series.
